24/7 Market open

About WeekendIndex

WeekendIndex.com shows live, 24/7 reference prices for major indices, stocks, commodities, currencies and crypto, including nights, weekends and holidays, when the official markets are shut.

How the prices are calculated

When an official market is open, its own price is the reference. When it is closed, we show an implied price derived from other markets that trade the same asset around the clock. For each instrument we read several independent venues, cross-check them against one another, and publish a single price only when they agree. If a venue is stale or an outlier, it is dropped. The number refreshes every few seconds.

These are indicative market prices, not official exchange quotes or settlements. They can differ from where an asset officially reopens, and they are provided for information and entertainment only, not financial advice.

What the figures mean

The 24h change compares the current price with its level about 24 hours ago. Since close compares it with the previous official closing price, so on a weekend it shows how far the market has moved since Friday's close. Crypto never closes and forex trades around the clock through the week, so those pages show a rolling 24-hour figure instead of a close. Long-range charts splice our live data onto public end-of-day reference series for the years before continuous trading existed, and the chart labels where that happens.
