How trading hours work
A US stock’s official session is 9:30am–4:00pm ET. Brokers add sessions around it; stacked together they reach almost 24 hours a day, five days a week. Futures, gold and crypto run on their own, longer clocks. In the grid, Gold shows the best gold access each broker offers: Robinhood’s 24/7 1-ounce gold futures, standard gold futures elsewhere, or a gold ETF where there are no futures.

Overnight and weekend sessions are usually limit orders only, with thinner liquidity and wider spreads. All hours exclude market holidays. Every broker here also offers 24/7 spot crypto, so it is left off the grid rather than shown as an always-open column.
Trading-hours questions
Which brokers offer 24-hour trading?
Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, Robinhood, Webull, Moomoo and tastytrade all run a near-24-hour stock session from Sunday 8:00pm to Friday 8:00pm ET. E*TRADE offers overnight for ETFs only, and Fidelity has no overnight session.
Can you trade stocks 24/7, weekends included?
Not real US shares. The most you can get is about 24/5. Markets close Friday 8:00pm and reopen Sunday 8:00pm ET. Only crypto and CME's 1-ounce gold futures trade genuinely around the clock; true weekend stock exposure exists only as tokenized stocks (non-US) or single-stock futures (weekdays).
When does overnight (24-hour) trading start?
The overnight session opens Sunday at 8:00pm ET and the week runs through Friday 8:00pm ET. Overnight orders are limit-only.
Can I trade crypto on weekends?
Yes. Spot crypto trades 24/7/365 at every broker here that offers it; it never closes for weekends or holidays.
When is the gold market open?
Standard gold futures trade about 23/5 (Sunday 6:00pm to Friday 5:00pm ET, with a one-hour daily break). CME's 1-ounce gold futures trade nearly 24/7 (only a halt Saturday 3–5am ET); Robinhood offers them for weekend trading.

Does Interactive Brokers have 24-hour trading?
Yes. IBKR runs an overnight session 8:00pm–3:50am ET on 10,000+ US stocks and ETFs (the largest overnight list), Sunday through Friday, plus ~23/5 futures and 24/7 crypto.
Does Charles Schwab have 24-hour trading?
Yes, on thinkorswim: 24/5 (Sunday 8:00pm to Friday 8:00pm ET) on 1,100+ stocks and ETFs, plus futures and spot crypto.
Does Robinhood have 24-hour trading?
Yes. The 24 Hour Market runs Sunday 8:00pm to Friday 8:00pm ET on about 900 stocks and ETFs (limit orders). Robinhood is also the only broker here with confirmed 24/7 weekend gold, plus 24/7 crypto.
Does Webull have 24-hour trading?
Yes. An overnight session 8:00pm–4:00am ET (Sunday–Thursday) plus pre- and after-hours forms a full 24/5 week; overnight is limit orders only. Crypto is 24/7.
Does Moomoo have 24-hour trading?
Yes, via the MOON ATS overnight session (8:00pm–4:00am ET, Sunday–Thursday) into a 24/5 week on about 6,000 symbols. Crypto is 24/7.
Does tastytrade have 24-hour trading?
Yes. 24-hour trading on the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100 and select ETFs (Sunday 8:00pm to Friday 8:00pm ET), plus ~23/5 futures and crypto.
Does E*TRADE have 24-hour trading?
Partly. Its overnight session (Sunday–Thursday, 8:00pm–7:00am ET) covers ETFs only (about 22); individual stocks trade pre-market through after-hours (7:00am–8:00pm ET). Futures run ~24/6 and crypto is 24/7.
Does Fidelity have 24-hour trading?
No. Fidelity offers pre-market (from 7:00am) and after-hours (to 8:00pm ET) only, with no overnight or 24-hour session and no futures. Its crypto trades ~24/7.
